Dr. Ana-Maria Dobra, DMD, MAGD
Doctor of Dental Medicine · Master, Academy of General Dentistry
Dr. Dobra's path to dentistry started with a love of science. She studied biochemistry as an undergraduate at Portland State University before earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
Since then, she's built her practice around families — treating patients of every age with the same warm, unhurried attention, while quietly working through one of the most demanding continuing-education paths in general dentistry. Alongside her Mastership coursework, she's pursued additional training in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and the International Academy of Dental Implantology (IADI), and holds certification as an Invisalign provider.
Outside the office, Dr. Dobra volunteers with organizations including Operation Smile, Feed the Children, and Arizona Mission of Mercy, and spends her free time hiking and biking around the Valley.

Understanding the Credential
What Does "MAGD" Mean, Exactly?
The MAGD designation shows that a dentist has completed the requirements for Mastership through the Academy of General Dentistry. The organization recognizes general dentists who pursue continuing education beyond dental school through its Fellowship and Mastership awards.
Mastership builds on Fellowship. To qualify, an AGD Fellow must complete at least 1,100 approved continuing education hours in total. At least 400 hours must be participation-based, with additional education requirements across 18 dental disciplines.
The Master of Academy of General Dentistry designation reflects the AGD's highest level of recognition for members who meet its advanced continuing education requirements.
