Doctor of Dental Medicine · Master, Academy of General Dentistry
Dr. Dobra's path to dentistry started with a love of science. She studied biochemistry as an undergraduate at Portland State University before earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
Since then, she's built her practice around families — treating patients of every age with the same warm, unhurried attention, while quietly working through one of the most demanding continuing-education paths in general dentistry. Alongside her Mastership coursework, she's pursued additional training in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and the International Academy of Dental Implantology (IADI), and holds certification as an Invisalign provider.
Outside the office, Dr. Dobra volunteers with organizations including Operation Smile, Feed the Children, and Arizona Mission of Mercy, and spends her free time hiking and biking around the Valley.

Advanced training in dental implants
Every general dentist finishes dental school. Far fewer keep training after. Dr. Dobra completed 1,100 hours of approved continuing education across sixteen dental disciplines, including 400 hands-on hours, to earn Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction fewer than 1 in 100 general dentists nationwide ever reach. In plain terms, it means a broader, more current set of skills sitting behind every filling, crown, and cleaning she does.
Letters after a name are only worth something if they change what happens in the chair. Here's what Dr. Dobra's Mastership actually means for your visits.
Her training spans 18 dental disciplines — from periodontics to implants to orthodontic basics — so more of your family's care can happen right here, without being sent elsewhere.
Reaching 1,100 CE hours means constant re-training in new materials, imaging, and procedures — not the same methods learned decades ago in dental school.
Unlike marketing claims, Mastership is awarded by fellow general dentists based on verified coursework — it's a credential she had to earn, not one she chose for herself.
The advanced training happens behind the scenes. In the chair, you'll still find the same relaxed, patient-centered visits families have come to expect.
